Search For Yourself & Get Live Results...
This feature can only be found on a handful of websites.  Set up your own search and get live results.  Save your searches and logon later from any computer at any time.  Save your favorite listings for later viewing.  Live Search incorporates all homes listed by any company (GRAR)

The difference between Live Search and Advantage Search, is that with Advantage Search you're filling out a detailed webform that is e-mailed to me, then I type in your information into a search profile (the results are not "live").  Advantage search has a few additional search fields and has a different results interface.

If you are a hands-on type person, I would suggest using Live search.  The only requirement is your basic contact information for logon purposes.  The information is not shared with any outside organizations.

Search MLS Records Yourself…
This option allows you to search for homes using the public portion of the MLS* (Multiple Listing Service).  The MLS encompasses all listings from every member real estate company in the area.  You can search by city, school system, MLS number, street, and other options.  You can also narrow down your search with price range, number of bedrooms, bathrooms, etc.

The disadvantage to searching the MLS yourself is that you will only be seeing what is available today.  You will not be automatically updated with new listings, price changes, etc.  If you are a serious buyer it is imperative that you are updated with new listings because the best ones sell fast.
